What Your Neighbors Think

The following testimonies are by no means a desire to draw attention to ourselves but to give glory to God at what HE has been doing in and through the lives of people led to us. Without God's strength, wisdom and empowering, NOTHING would be accomplished in our program to His Glory.

"In a world with tooo many video games, television and junk food, parents are looking for healthy, fun activities for their children to participate in.  The martial arts has long been one of those choices.  As a Children's Pastor, I am very excited to see Karate Kids For Christ come onto the scene.  When most martial arts are teaching discipline through eastern philosophies, Karate Kids For Christ teaches the absolute truth of the Bible.  Now parents can know that their children are having fun, getting healthy and disciplined through a safe Christian environment!"

Jim Shelton, Children's Pastor, Crossroads Fellowship Church,  Raleigh, NC

"Not only has Adam personally attained a remarkable degree of expertise in the martial arts, but he is wonderful with kids, has a parents perspective, and an exemplary walk of faith. He will help many kids grow deep roots of faith while they develop the physical skills and character attributes which honor God and aid their success in life. I highly recommend him and his program."

Chuck Milian, Senior Pastor, Crossroads Fellowship Church, Raleigh NC

"It gives me great pleasure to write and thank you for your most generous donation to my Kick Drugs Out of America Foundation.  Needless to say, it was a thrill for me to accept a check for $143,000 from EFC Chairman Nick Cokinos representing the tireless work of you and your EFC friends.I am honored to be associated with EFC and I am so grateful that my current team of 2,400 "Karate Kids" will grow as a result of your commitment and work.  It is obvious you share my concern for our nation's most precious resource - our children.  Again, many thanks for your support and I hope to see yo next year!

"Adam Schainblatt is an active member/leader in our church who owns a martial arts center called Karate Kids For Christ in Raleigh, NC.  I know just by saying those words may cause you to think of Eastern Mysticism, cultic religions and things of the like. However, Adam's faith in Christ is interwoven into his school and is having a definite impact.

You would be amazed at this place!

I would highly recommend anything that Adam sponsors.

"My son Henry was your one of your new students tonight.  He LOVED it, I thought he would but from talking to you I was not sure if he would be willing to go out there and participate.

You were so welcoming to him and you got down on his level to explain what to do, he warmed up to you amazingly well. I was amazed at how excited he was to do everything and he has talked about it all night.  You have us hooked for sure.

Thank you so much for welcoming him into the class so sweetly.  This will be a great confidence booster.  Also the prayer that you did before was fantastic."

Kathryn Tromba, Mother of Henry 3.5 years old and Paul 5 years old, Tiny Tiger Students.

"The experience we've had at KK4C has been very positive.

Since joining the Black Belt / Leadership Program, Amelia has progressively shown a healthy sense of confidence in other areas of her life.  Amelia really shines as a assistant helper for the younger students.

In fact, we've discovered that she has a strong desire for helping and encouraging younger children, a talent we were not aware of, before being part of the KK4C program.

The environment we place our children in, helps to shape who they are.  KK4C has all the ingredients of the type of environment I want my children to be a part of:  Christ-centered, character building, respecting oneself and others all while getting a healthy workout for your body and learning self-defense."

Alicia Pearce, Parent of Amelia, 8 years old, Raleigh N.C.

"Since Lane began KK4C in August of 2006, we have noticed an amazing transformation in his behavior.  He really seems to try and live the character traits that he learns each month.

A day doesn’t go by that he doesn’t at least thank his family for what they do for him.  He also loves to lead the meal time prayers and always prays for someone that is having a problem that day.

Lane has been through a lot of change with both of his grandparents being ill the last few years, but he is a trooper and he is an example to the rest of the family.

We are so grateful for Adam’s patience with him and we look forward to Lane’s future training with KK4C."

"KK4C has been a very positive experience for my 12 year old daughter and I.  It's great to have an activity to do together as mother and daughter.

I have really enjoyed learning the character traits and scripture - it has helped my daughter and I in our personal lives.  I have seen my daughter’s confidence in herself grow during the 9 months we have been attending karate.

I highly recommend it to other mothers and daughters."

"The classes offered at KK4C have been a great support to us as parents in putting the Biblical principles we teach our child into practice.

Mr. Schainblatt, with the Lord's help, has built a great program that balances Biblical training and karate with the main focus pointing to what the Lord would have us do.

The physical activity is equally important for adults. When our children see our commitment to learning the material as well, it gives them a model to follow."

"Even though our daughter, Lindsay, is abundantly blessed by attending North Raleigh Christian Academy it's difficult to find active after school activities to participate in that also further her love for the Lord.

Thank You -  Karate Kids for Christ for providing her with physical as well as spiritual training."

"My daughter loves KK4C! She enjoys the physical activity and learning the memory verses. As a parent, I have noticed her improved attention to any task and that she takes more responsibility for her actions.

"Karate Kids for Christ is a great program that combines Christ-like teachings and martial arts. My daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD and the class has been a blessing for her and our family.

She is learning discipline and focusing more in school and at home. She is applying the character traits to her everyday life and is sharing her new knowledge to her friends.

She loves the class and looks forward to learning more each time she goes."

"We have been attending KK4C for about 6 months now. We had nothing but good experience here.

Our son, David is looking forward to Mondays and Wednesdays every week.  He learns a lot of techniques and character development in his classes. They are also full of fun games!

We have seen a change in his behavior at home and he really does remember his "I wills" when a specific situation comes up.

As home schooling parents we are very pleased about their prayer at the beginning of the class. This way he can see how important prayer is not only at home but in a group setting also.

We would like to thank you for being such a great teacher and a motivation for our son!"
Sincerely,

"The changes I’ve seen in Samarra include her growth in confidence and also her growth in excellence.

Samarra is very loving and giving, but usually does things in haste.  She is learning that to be good at something, you don’t have to always do it fast or look for the easy way.  She takes her time and learns her kata and perfects them with much repetition.  Though it takes time to do it this way, she never fusses or complains and she doesn’t give up until she gets it.

She is also learning how to be more independent by doing things without me having to tell her to do them.

She is extremely helpful around the house because she wants to earn, not just learn, her 'I wills'."

"I am thrilled with the character training that comes along with being a member of KK4C. At only 5 years old, my son is learning the importance of such strong character traits as forgiveness, responsibility and numerous more! Traits that with Jesus in his heart, I know will carry him well in this life!"

"I like the punching, kicking, Mr. Adam, horse stance and karate stance. My favorite part is the karate stance because you get to yell Aiya. I also like playing Star Wars and running. It is all fun."
- Austin , age 5

"Since Austin has started at Karate Kids For Christ his preschool teacher has noticed that he has been making better choices. He is thinking before he acts.

I am thrilled with the outlet KK4C has provided to punch and kick in a controlled, Christian environment. It has really helped to channel some of that aggressive boy energy.

Austin also likes earning the character cards.  It is nice to be able to say, 'remember to be truthful' and he actually understands what you mean."

Adam Schainblatt makes the class very fun. The kids love it!"

"Adam, our 4 year old was so shy before that he wouldn't even talk to anyone and we could never leave him in a class setting by himself!

His self-confidence is getting better every day he attends your school. As parents we are very happy that all this is happening by using a Christ-centered approach!

Ron and I just wanted to thank you for your good work!

We are looking forward to seeing more of the great things happening at Karate Kids For Christ!"

"Amelia has been fired-up to learn and demonstrate not only her karate moves, but the Christian principles for the month, as well.  She understands that these are lifelong principles, not just monthly principles.  Amelia has also displayed a new-found confidence that I have not seen in her before.  It is not arrogance, its confidence in who she is in Christ!  Thank you for spirit-led teaching of these impressionable youngsters at Karate Kids For Christ."

"I shared this with you in person, but I also wanted to send you an email about the changes I have seen in Samarra.  I am an avid reader and I love it when my children ask for new books or trips to the library.  For years, I have tried to spark interest in Samarra to read.  She has always stated how much she hated to read and no matter what books I found, she would never finish them.

Samarra loves rewards, but it never occurred to me to reward the children for reading since most of them liked to read anyhow.  Since she has been at your school and realizes she can earn a tip for reading, she has been taking time to read at least 20 to 40 minutes each day, without being told to do so.

She actually wants to find a book series to start reading.  I am so thankful.  This is a very important part of our learning for me and to see her reading without being told to do so is a blessing.

Thank you for your obedience in this area and including it in your program."

"I would like to thank you for the work that you have done with my son, Matt Richards. Even after only one month of lessons we can already tell that the karate classes have had a positive effect on him. I always stay to watch during the classes, and I am very impressed with the way you work with kids.

It pleases me that you teach positive values and respect, as well as providing a goal oriented environment for them to develop physical skills and self confidence.

It always helps to have someone outside the home to teach these things, to reinforce what parents try so hard to do at home. I also like the camaraderie that develops between the students, regardless of their ages."

Robert Richards, father of student Red Belt student Matt, Raleigh NC

“We absolutely love it and our kids are eager to attend each class.  Adam is a strong Christian and he works hard to instill respect, kindness and discipline in all of the kids.  he has a very gentle spirit and is never short or harsh.

Each class begins with prayer and uses Christian music for warm-ups.  What amazed me the most is the encouragement that the kids display for each other in class.

We have been truly blessed to have found Adam and his school."

Sherry Kite, mother of students Victoria, Greg, and Andrew, Raleigh NC

"Stevie has really enjoyed his classes. He has shown more concentration in school and is a helpful child."

Cindy McGarry, mother of student Stevie, Raleigh NC
"Thank you for all you do for these children. I truly believe that God sent us to your school and you! Thanks again for doing Gods Will!"

"In the weeks since Max has been studying gratefulness in your classes at Karate Kids For Christ his manners have greatly improved (please and thank you's) and he is showing concern for my feelings and needs.

He has written a thank you card to a neighbor after receiving a gift from them.  He has been cleaning up his toys and bedroom and putting things back where they belong.  He has been encouraging toward his brother telling him good job.  He has elected to use the back pack from last year for this school year while his brother and sister both needed new ones.

And finally, he is showing excitement for his achievements and making an effort to keep trying when something is difficult instead of instantly giving up when it is hard."

"The character training has helped because it’s a good point of reference.  When she is misbehaving or not listening.  I can say, remember what you talked about in karate?  About obeying your parents?  Then she usually answers yes and might repeat one of the I wills of obedience.  I can tell she is listening in class and absorbing the ideas and concepts.  I really like the character training you provide with the karate at Karate Kids For Christ."

"Sam frequently volunteers to help out at home.  The obedience character trait has taught him to immediately obey and to go the extra mile.

Learning the character trait of obedience has also made a huge impact on Joshua's behavior.  He obeys faster (and tells me the first I will by memory).

He intentionally tries to have a cheerful attitude and tells me he is cheerful because of Mr. Schainblatt's class at Karate Kids For Christ."

"I’ve noticed Siera’s attitude toward her younger sister’s as being more gracious.  Before we started the character training, when they annoyed her or wronged her, she would get upset and sometimes respond in a mean way,

Now, she thinks twice and will not allow herself to respond in anger.  She has really been working hard to be quick to forgive.  She no longer gets revenge by responding with an unkind word.  She has been trying and I am looking forward to see where her prayer and effort take her."

Orderliness Testimonials

"Because of the Orderliness training in your class Harper has become more consistent and deliberate in being orderly by picking up after himself and even picking up after his sister.  He talks about being orderly and practicing orderliness.  He even told his 18 year old cousin that he 'forgot to practice orderliness' and needed to clean his room!

Since joining KK4C Lane has greatly improved in these ‘I wills’ you taught him:

  • 1.      “ I will pick up after myself.”
  • 2.      “ I will keep my work and play areas clean and neat.”
  • 3.      “ I will put things back where they belong.”

"I have an example of how Joshua demonstrated the ‘I will’ for Sincerity: 'I will take responsibility for my own actions.' Josh had a temper tantrum on one particular day and had also told a lie.  He came back to me later in the day to apologize for his behavior and told me he had told a lie."

"Jack’s teacher told me that, when tripped and hit her head on a computer cart at school, she was concerned about whether she had broke the equipment.  Jack said to her, 'It doesn’t matter if the equipment is okay – it only matters if you are okay.'  I think this is a good example of genuine sincere caring.  Thanks!
